I wish I would have been more like you and saved more money while I had a job. I don't know what I am going to do. Thoughts of military, peacecorp, and other groups of the like are starting to creep up in my mind.

The economy is down the crapper, and it's going to get worse. I personally expect to get laid off next week.

There are hundreds of applicants for every single job that is posted. Do what you can and apply for those jobs that you have a reasonable chance of getting, but be realistic about the current situation and don't expect to find a new job any time soon.

Act according to these assumptions. I've been saving money for a year and a half for the day of reckonining. This is going to be a multiple dip great recession with no end in sight.
